If you want to improve your health and fitness, the fabled adage was through strict diets and rigorous exercise routines. Bodybuilders and athletes from the golden age showed us what the human body can do when pushed to the limit.

However, while these methods can help you lose fat and build muscle, they are extreme, out of touch, and may not be the most sustainable or enjoyable approach.

Even so, the pace of life is busier than ever. It’s more common than ever to see exhaustion, burnout, and a lack of lusting drive for betterment coexist.

The best solution instead? Becoming more intuitive and flexible is the answer.

Why?

Adopting an intuitive eating approach and being more flexible with yourself could be the magic key to reaching your health and fitness goals in a way that feels good and works for your lifestyle.

Take a deep breath for a moment and take note of how you feel at this moment.

How does one become intuitive?

Intuitive eating is all about listening to your body’s hunger and fullness signals, eating when you’re hungry, and stopping when you’re full. It’s about honoring your cravings and allowing yourself to enjoy all kinds of foods in moderation, rather than labeling certain foods as “good” or “bad” and restricting yourself accordingly.

By adopting intuitive eating, you’ll likely have more energy, feel less stressed about food, and more easily maintain a healthy weight without thinking about cutting weight. You’ll also enjoy going out like a “normal person” and eating meals without feeling guilty or anxious about what you’re eating.

Don’t get me wrong, though; there are exceptions to this. Unless you’re prepping for a show or getting your body ready for competition, you don’t have to be that person counting calories at the bar.
