DO YOU FRONT SQUAT? SERIOUSLY, DO YOU? 🏋🏽‍♀️

For as long I’ve been lifting, front squats has always been “that squat” that was avoided on any glorious leg day 🙄.

Not so much because of the different grip styles or placing the barbell not far from your. clavicle but mostly because you can’t front squat as much weight as your back squat!

The front squat in my humble opinion is better than the back squat and for the a lot of reasons:

It engages your quads to the highest degree and, because of the more upright body positioning required to hold the barbell, hammers your core like a punching bag.

First and foremost, YOUR KNEES AND BACK WILL THANK YOU — Front squat are just safer than back squats.

Front squats are easier on your back and knees. Science shows you can work the same muscles targeted as the back squat while saving the lower back and knees.

Front squat are as effective as the back squat in terms of overall muscle recruitment, with significantly less compressive forces and extensor moments.

Front squats can be advantageous compared with back squats for individuals with knee problems such as meniscus tears, and for long-term joint health.

So with that being said, what will it be? FRONT SQUATS OR BACK SQUATS? Comment below your answer!
