8 Quick Fundamentals of Fitness That You Need to Understand Now
I want to make this a quick read for you.
Here are the eight most essential pieces of advice I want folks to “understand” about fitness (but don’t).
Lesson #1: Drop the “Lose Weight” Mindset
First and foremost, stop trying to lose weight. Instead, set a goal to lose body fat and gain muscle. Remember, the number on the scale is just a number; even though it might not change, your body will. While the body changes, take this time to love and appreciate your body.
Lesson #2: Motion Matters
You don’t want to have a day where you don’t move. You want to limit the number of times you have days like that. I’m not saying go out and run 5 miles or don’t take time off, or don’t rest. Take advantage of that body of yours and get up and move around. You’re still making strides as long as you hit the 5,000 steps minimum.
Lesson #3: Perform Cardio for Health and Wellness
Cardio is not only exclusive to being done at the gym or only just to cut weight (see Lesson #!). You want to do cardio for general health. Run because you want to build stronger lungs; Run because you want to strengthen your heart. Run because you want to…
