5 Things Most 20-Year-Olds don’t “GET” about Being in Shape

As an early teenager, I started working out to look better.
(Side note: I experienced my first weight loss success at 13 years old, losing 30+ lbs during a summer vacation because I was so tired of being bullied and fighting kids at school.)
My insecurities and struggles growing up made it challenging to accept who I was even as I got into my late teenage years from 18 to 20.
As a result, I was not completely happy about myself even after dropping weight. Instead, I fell into a vicious cycle of overdoing things by overeating, working out too much, or undereating.
There needed to be a proper balance.
Now I’m older and have experienced many situations in the industry, I know that fitness is about more than physique.
Fitness is about breaking through self-limiting barriers and beliefs.
I want to share five things most 18 to 20-year-olds don’t ‘get’ about being in shape.
